About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Go Bears!

ABOUT ME

Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and cannot remain silent. ~Victor HugoSong of the day: "Nothing to worry about" [Peter Bjorn & John]There are many things I love and always will enjoy (besides of music): cosy cafés - especially when their involve nice people and good conversations. I love french style and italian culture. And indian food! I'm curious and open to points of view that are different to mine and find it in general interesting to get to know different people, countries and cultures. I'm not necessarily looking for equal interests, but rather for inspiration.I'm passionate about life and want to live it to it's fullest - together with awesome people. (And a lot of tea! I'm totally addicted to it).

PHILOSOPHY

If you're going through hell, keep on going.

Intelligence is something inside your heart, not on a piece of paper.

Hank Moody smoking a cigarette.
Chick: "This will kill you!"
Hank: "Life will kill you."
[Which doesn't mean that I smoke...I don't. But Hank is actually kind of right ;)]

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It all actually started in november '09 when I - almost accidently - found my self in the middle of a cs-meeting in Oslo. Since then I have been to several meetings/partys, surfed a few times and hosted - mostly friends. If I'm not able to host you, I would love to show you around or spend time with you folks who come to visit Oslo (or wherever I am), whenever I have the time!:)

Interests

- Music and other kinds of art, especially movies/theater and literature.
- Cultures; their traditions, languages and mentality

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:Everything from crazy things in David Lynch style to black and white comedies...depends on the mood. Most seen: "Some like it hot" and "Amélie". Like most movies by Almodóvar and Woody Allen; many german movies are great, especially those with Daniel Brühl :D And movies with Hugh Grant or Ewan McGregor starring, of course - they make my life brighter ;DTV-series:Desperate Houswives, Grey's Anatomy, Californication, V, Criminal Minds, King of Queens, and many more...recently: Sex & the City. I had to check it out after seven years of denying :PMusic:I'm a music addict, music is almost equal to the meaning of life, which is very hard to find - but through music I sometimes come pretty close to it. Music is the best thing ever..it makes time go faster when you're bored, or slower when you need some time. But I guess you all know the feelings music gives you, which there are no words for.I listen to many different things - many different kinds of rock (both old and new), jazz, alternative, indie, garage, some electronica, experimental and classical music... really too much too mention. Have a look at my last.fm profile to get a better idea: http://www.last.fm/user/bananika :)Books:Books by Knut Hamsun, Erich Kästner, Stefan Zweig and some spanish authors. Favourite: "The catcher in the rye" (J.D.Sallinger - R.I.P. 27.01.2010)..among others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have moved 11 times (soon 12), so now I actually get restless if I spend too long time at the same place. I live to travel. It gives you this amazing rush. And it's maybe the most meaningful thing to spend money on, I think.
Many people I have met and places I have seen have shaped me and made me the person I am now: through conversations, experiences - good and bad - and fascination. That is amazing, I think..that life is so unpredictable in a way, and full of interesting things. I try not to regret anything I have done until now. Life is too precious for regrets. Everything you experience you can use for something, I think.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some piano-playing if you should bring one with you by accident.

I would love to learn how to cook better; I mean, I can cook..but I experiment a lot, which is not always positive hehe.
I also want to learn to play drums, speak italian and to dance the tango. And many more things, that I probably haven't heard about yet..!

We can share stories, experiences, interests and a good time! Let's not share socks.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, United States, Vatican City State
