About Me
We're an American/Chilean couple living in Reñaca, a beach town about 15 minutes up the coast from Viña and 40 minutes from Valpo.
There's lots of great things to do around here -- seafood empanadas around the corner, a sea lion colony on the beach, surfing, super easy access to Viña and Valpo. We're pretty relaxed, but we do like independent travelers who can show themselves around :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've both hosted and surfed in random places around the US, Peru, Chile, and New Zealand. We've recently returned from a year traveling around Indonesia and NZ, and we like hosting because it keeps us in touch with the traveling spirit! Plus, I've been overwhelmed by abundant generosity in all my travels, and I'd really like to give back.

Kayaking with dolphins at Great Barrier Island, New Zealand!!!!! A really generous kiwi loaned us kayaks and wetsuits and off we went, until we literally paddled into a pod of dolphins! Including babies! They spent the whole morning with us! There is no electricity or running water on Great Barrier and everyone who lives there has solar panels, their own gardens. A kiwi lady later told us that the dolphins don't always come, but they come when you need them. It was such a blessing.
