ABOUT ME

I am an enthusiastic and open person. I like to meet people, especially those who have a thought through point of view. Its interesting to experience different cultures by actual interactions.

Apart from my office, I occupy myself with soccer (playing here and following the European Leagues) and a couple of other adventurous activities (karting, hiking, etc.).

PHILOSOPHY

Clarity of thought. I think its important to introspect and realize what values we want to imbibe, and the extent to which we will stand by it. I live a simple life, nothing too fancy and definitely not a party animal.

In interactions, I like to be clear and honest. I personally value tough honest answers over seemingly nice but dishonest answers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only recently joined, so my participation is, as of now, limited to hosting enthusiastic travelers. Given my location, I feel I am able to contribute a little to helping people realise there dream of visiting NYC.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first surfer came a few days ago. He has been incredibly nice and understanding of some of the house constraints. I will populate this column as I gain more experience.

Books - Siddhartha (Herman Hesse), Alchemist, Freedom at Midnight

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trekked across one of the most difficult routes in India, Kalindi Khal, with my friends. The pass is at an height of ~6,000m. During the final ascent, one of friends slipped into a crevass, was dangling by the rope only, and we managed to rescue him, and made the pass.

I heard that he pass was closed recently during to recurring fatalities on the route.

Teach, Learn, Share

This is tough. Well, I can teach simple maths and physics, help understand how these basic subjects can help you see your surroundings, etc. On the other hand, I think I can also talk a bit about philosophy, social interactions, and team building and activity.

I can also teach soccer skills, but its best I don't as I am no Zidane.

Countries I’ve Visited

India, Nepal

Countries I’ve Lived In

India, Singapore, United States
