ABOUT ME

Most everyone calls me Parker, and I prefer that, there are too many Michaels in the world.

If you were to ask my closest friends, they would tell you that I'm "a hoot and a half," and some would go so far as to say I'm a comical person, even though I don't consider myself funny. . . witty perhaps, but not funny.

I love to laugh, am sort of a foodie, and enjoy great company. I'm honest, genuine, and am fiercely loyal.

I am fascinated by the human condition and believe everyone has a story to be told.

I am currently living in Salamanca, Spain, as a 2012-2013 Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholar.
I was born and raised in Napa, California, and finished my studies last year at the University of California, Berkeley. I have a B.A. in Peace & Conflict Studies with a Concentration in Global Health & Human Rights, and a Minor in Global Poverty & Practice.

I'm oddly fascinated by the hashtag but also slightly perplexed by its use.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I loved sitting at the kitchen table with my great grandmother, listening to her endless stories and words of wisdom. Those are amazing moments.
