Hello! I am a 24 year old Italian student. Over the last 5 years, I have moved around quite a bit; from metropolitan New York, to a Lago Maggiore in Northern Italy, to Trieste, and now I'm located in Leipzig. I am very friendly and love meeting new people and hearing about different cultures!

I have a wide variety of interests, but my biggest passions are reading and books. I have read many books from many different genres, and could talk about them for hours; I even worked in a bookstore for nearly 2 years. I also am very passionate about music, and I enjoy all different types... except for Country. Other hobbies include running (though I'm not very good at it), traveling, visiting museums, and reading everything on Wikipedia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing to try and meet new people who live in the area around my new home. In the future, I'd love to be able to be a host as well, but for now I live with several of my cousins in their home, so it is impossible.

Interests

As I wrote above, I have many interests! I'll list them here again, though:

Reading - especially Literary Fiction, Horror, Science-fiction, and Fantasy. I also have a great love for children's Picture Books!

Music - My favourite genre is probably Indie. Other favourites include Opera, Jazz, Pop, R&B, Rock, alternative, and sometimes Metal. I really love sad music.

Traveling (but who doesn't enjoy traveling?), running, hiking, visiting museums, etc.

I also really like learning new things. Basically everything interests me to some degree, and I always like to learn about what other people are interested in! Who knows, sometimes I even find something new to be interested!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - My favourite artists are P A N E S, Indecence, Bon Iver, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Negramaro, Jovanotti, Volcano Choir, Alanis Morisette, Laura Marling, Modà, Radio Head, Bon Iver, Jeff Buckley, Elliot Smith, and many others! Too many to list!

Movies - Interstellar, The Stepmother, Beaches, Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, Juno, Heathers, Studio Ghibli films, etc. I don't watch tons of movies. I tend to just like every movie I watch!

Books - Asking my favourite book is the hardest question you can ask me. Some of my favourites are: Ordinary People by Judith Guest; The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt; A Separate Peace by John Knowles; The Lord of the Rings Trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien; The Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling; The Martian by Andy Weir; The Grand Design by Stephen Hawking; Gomorra by Roberto Saviano; The House of Leaves by Mark Danielewski; Howl by Allen Ginsberg; Nocturnes by Kazuo Ishiguro; The Wind Up Bird Chronicles by Haruki Murakami. I think that's enough for now!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to share all of my knowledge of everything I know, and to learn more about everything! One of my biggest problems in life is my overwhelming desire to know everything, so I'd love to learn all you have to offer.

I'd be happy to share anything I have to offer. My most "useful" offer would probably be Italian or English lessons. I can also offer a fun time! LOL.
