About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mission is to help people feel comfortable while exploring the States. Also to explore as much of the world as I can
ABOUT ME
Graduated from college in 2007, with a bachelors in business and a minor in theology. The business stuck with me, the theology... not so much, but that's a long story.
I lost almost 100 pounds while in college, after spending my entire life obese. That was the catalyst that changed me, and launched my career in fitness. I've launched and owned 3 fitness centers in Michigan, but there was something missing.
Having always had the itch to get out and explore life, I finally worked up the nerve to move on. Recently moved to Seattle (Capitol Hill) and am doing my best to live life to the fullest.
PHILOSOPHY
I choose to live a life of inclusion, intersection, and commonality, as opposed to exclusion, forks in the road, and points of difference. Each of us have far more in common than not.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only had a few to date, though my brother (and roommate) has likely had hundreds.
Interests
I spend time and money volunteering with my favorite animal advocacy/vegan groups. I love having a good time and meeting new people. Traveling. I'm a drummer (even though my apartment is too small for my kit :( ) I love hearing everyones story. We all have one. I love working out.

Music, Movies, and Books
We can talk. I do like stupid comedy like Anchorman, and then plenty of documentaries including Jesus Camp.
Music I can dig most anything. My all time favorite band is MAE, and if you know who they are, we'll be just fine.
Human Psychology, change, marketing, personal development
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've backpacked Europe twice by train. First with one of my best friends, and second with my brother.
I lost 96 pounds.
I worked up the nerve to give up everything I had in a place I always knew, to start a new life in a place that was foreign to me, and that has made all the difference.
