We are the Marquette Climbers’ Cooperative!

This Co-Op was established in 2012 to create a living and community space for local rock climbers. Here in Marquette, Michigan near the shores of Lake Superior, the cooperative explores new ways to incorporate sustainable living practices into the daily lives of residents and community members. Currently there are eight of us living here; Dandelion, Kristen, Andrew, Heather, Jose, Ivan, Kara and Mika. Many of us are attending college at Northern Michigan University and loving life!

Our house features a permaculture garden and a bouldering/climbing room for community use. Our big project this summer is our greenhouse and next on our list we hope to install greywater recycling systems, solar water heating, and other conservation initiatives! Everyone in the house is full of hospitality. Come check us out! :]
