ABOUT ME

I grew up in New Zealand and have lived in Great Britain since 1994.

I left school at 15 to join the Royal New Zealand Naval Dockyard as an apprentice marine engineer - because doing things yourself is much more fun than staying in formal education and reading about what others are doing!

Since those 9 years with the navy, I've had over 40 jobs:- Rolls Royce engineer, robotics tech in a condom factory & Motorola phones, 2nd engineer in a brewery, welder, forklift driver, truck driver, postman, hotel cleaner,...

PHILOSOPHY

It seemed like a good idea at the time...... Onward!

Interests

Scottish Country Dancing - taking classes

Sailing - raced a catamaran in the Scottish nationals

Gym/keep fit - 4+/week, walk about 40 miles a week

Christianity - pentecostal

History - especially from a Biblical prophecy perspective

Technology, computing is my new career

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bringing my pre-school daughter through 2.5 years of chemotherapy for leukaemia. She was very sick and wasn't expected to live, 6 other children died. By God's grace she is totally clear. The hospital staff credited her life to good parenting to keep her happy.

Pity that my marriage died. Oh well.....
