About Me
ABOUT ME
First of all it is very hard to describe yourself not because it is hard to think of something but so that the person reading my profile wouldn't think that I am arrogant or presumptuous.
I am very social and very curious about things. I like to try, learn and explore what I know and don't know. I like challenges that is why I like to learn new things. Since early childhood my mother said that I could talk a wolf out of the woods. (I guess it is a saying that might only exist in Latvia) The fact that I am very talkative doesn't mean I do not hear what others say or have to offer. I actually am a good listener - I listen to people not just hear what they say and there is a big difference between the two.
I am on the verge of finishing my bachelors in communications studies. I work in PR (public relations) and am basically interested in everything and open to all that life has to offer.
I guess other perks you might get to know by meeting me in person.
PHILOSOPHY
Stay positive, all the way! Be open to change.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We - me and my flatmates are looking to meet fun and active people. We are five students from a three bedroom apartment in Riga and our every day life is pretty much like some of the episodes of Friends. We entertain people not just the ones from CS but anyone really. We started hosting only recently haven't hosted a lot of CS users but we will do our best to get the karma and good energy flowing around.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have hosted a couple or people, a lot of friends and done some squatting in the apartment bellow us.
I want to increase my CS experience because I will finish my university studies soon and I want to do traveling, meet new people, explore cultures.
I actually hope that i could find someone on CS to do hitch-hiking with.

Music, Movies, and Books
I cannot name a specific type of music that I like. My favorite band is Mumford and Sons and other artists that have the same style.
I try to read but I usually cannot find time for it. I have to do a lot of academic reading for my bachelors. At the moment is about popular culture, countercultures, subcultures, some graffiti.
I have a small library since high school, I did a lot of reading then. One of my favorites is "The Story of Sinuhe" which is a story of an Egyptian man's travels and personal evolution. It really impressed me so to have this is the reason why years later I made a tattoo of Egyptian falcon to guide me through my life.
I like comedy's, drama and sometimes horror movies. I usually watch movies that speaks to me or something. One of the best movies that I've seen lately is The East which was about - just watch the trailer. I recommend this movie for everyone to see. I am a major movie and TV-show buff so there is plenty to talk about in this segment.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I consider traveling, hitchhiking that I have done the most amazing thing that has happened to me.
I think that I've had the chance to meet some amazing people.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach what I know. I could probably teach something in Latvian, definitely about our culture. I am not the best dancer in the world but I could teach you some moves that I and my friends have come up with. I could definitely teach you how to stay positive and enjoy life. I am not always positive and probably nobody is but I could teach you what to do with the negative emotions.
