About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoying the color...green.

ABOUT ME

Man, I dig gardening. Seriously, nothing is more rewarding than planting a seed, taking care of it, watching it grow, putting it in the ground, speaking sweet things to it, and finally picking it's lovely fruit. I live a fantastic life. I spend a lot of time realizing just how lucky I am to have such a wonderful woman want to marry me and luckier still to live the easy life that I do. I love learning about almost anything (not so good with super intense technology stuff). I have a job that pays good money and right now, that's what it takes to get away from it all. I love being outside, riding my bike just after a rainshower, camping at empty campsites, building fires, pulling weeds (not really much fun but its outside), or just sitting on the front porch with good conversation or a good book. I feel a strong sense of community. I'm a hippy at heart. My fiance and I just started an organic gardening consulting business to teach others how to live a sustainable life starting with feeding themselves.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is about the experiences we have and the imprints we leave.
"adventure is not in the guide book
and beauty is not on the map
seek and ye shall find"
~Philip John Lindroos~

To get something you've never had, you must do something you've never done...
-Written on a bathroom stall at Andy's bar-

Live life to its fullest.

No regrets.

Treat everyone with respect.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After graduation I sold my car, my computer, everything I had really and took off for Ireland witha bit of money in my pocket, a CS profile, a camera, a backpack, and a desire to just live life and find myself. Well, I did a damn fine job of living life and found out quite a bit about myself in the process. I lived in a hostel in Galway Ireland for 3 weeks, made some great friends, and got sick as hell. I worked as an aupair in England for 3 months, I worked for room and board at an amazing womans house in England; chopping woood, pulling weeds, cooking, cleaning, and listening to Chopin played by a string quartet in an 800 year old abbey. I worked as an aupair in Berlin Germany for 3 months, teaching English to 12 year old German boy who didn't speak much English and was stubborn as a mule. I met up with my buddy Colby Brown in Nepal. We trekked for 17 days on the Annapurna Circut, we rafted down Class 3-4 whitewater through the Himalays, we were in awe on a minute by minute basis, and I worked for a few weeks in an orphanage in Kathmandu and it changed my life.

A friend and I drove 4,700 miles in two and a half weeks through the western United States. We drove through or stayed in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, and Okalahoma. We saw the Grand Canyon and in the same night danced in the lights of Las Vegas. It was one of the most fantastic experiences I have ever had with one of the best friends you could ask for.
