ABOUT ME

I'm from Texas, but I promise I'm not a conservative ass hat. I have a certain love for my hometown, but that is a product of growing up there. Memories form attachments.

I'm a fairly congenial fellow, although it does take me a bit of time to get comfortable in conversation with people I've just met. I draw and/or paint pretty pictures, both traditionally and digitally, and happen to be fairly good at it. There is usually a backpack attached to my person, and it usually houses a sketchbook and assorted drawing materials, as well as a pack of cigarettes. My mohawk is an on again, off again relationship. Currently aiming for a job that allows the whimsy of a mohawk once again, too...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am willing to offer a couch, although my friend Ohms confesses that there aren't many couchsurfers journeying through the U.S. If anyone has surfed with Ohms before and you happen to hit me up... you might notice the place is a bit familiar. I've just arrived in Austin, but I also plan to participate in some couchsurfing parties if I can find them, and I'll be happy to show any potential surfers of this domicile the handful of bits and bobs I've found in Austin already.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been a couch provider, not so much a surfer. I'm usually attached umbilically to my place of residence due to schoolin' that's happening. All of my experiences have been good, though the most notable would be Pat the Cat. We stormed around Savannah the day he arrived searching for a box to place his bike in, as he was flying back home the following day.

Interests

Anything art related, to include traditional visual stuff or music, procrastinating (which is what I'm doing right now), discussions on life in general, decrepit buildings, exploring drainage tunnels, driving night time roads with good music, the beach at night, coffee at hole in the wall restaurants at obscene hours of the morning, tiny camp fires, dreamcatchers, tattoos, piercings, and many more things I can't place my finger on at the moment.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well... I have intimate knowledge of computer workings. I have built several for friends and family. I can... draw. Fairly well. I love teaching others about applied art, even the most basic ideas of constructing forms. I know a weird way to roll cigarettes, how to change a tire, how to change out inline skate wheels, and how to blow smoke rings.

I would like someone to converse in German with, as well as anything else you'd want to share.
