About Me
I live together with my girlfriend in Merelbeke close to Ghent.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Since I'm not really able to host people at the moment I'm more into surfing and meeting new people. There are a few people which I got to know via CS with who I've meet a few times after the CS trip.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Did a "tour de France" in July 2010. Spend the nights on campings, hostels, even a hotel but also at 4 couches and it was a wonderfull experience. Got to know some very interesting people and even made friends with who I still chat and talk today.
In 2011 me and Boris did a Scandinavian roadtrip, we drove around for about 7000km and visited The Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland (lapland). We got hosted a couple of times and every time was a real pleasure!
In 2012 me and Boris did another roadtrip but this time we went for Eastern Europe. We went to Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Ukraine, Slovakia, Austria, Germany and France. Got hosted here also a couple of times and met very interesting people!
I even made compilation of the trip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRE_oFXUKQs
Interests
Mostly music, have a really big musical taste. Would be very cool to meet some people who know a bit about jazz/soul/... because I really love that music but dont know very much about it.
I'm also working as a department manager at Media Markt and my specialisation is HIFI and TV.
I once had a job as a bicycle repairer so I know a lot about them, also love to ride my own race/mountainbikes.

Music, Movies, and Books
I really love many different styles of music. Sometimes I will only listen to rock but other times that would be Jazz or Blues.
Depends on what time it is and how my mood is.
About movies I also have a very wide taste, I love comedys/dramas/thrillers/(some) horrors/action/adventure/animations/... love them all. If the story is good or it's really funny I love it!
I'm not that big reader, occasionaly I read a book. My favo book though is Into The Wild.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Already did so many fantastic things via CS. The host I'm sure I was fascinated by the most though was a girl in Kyiv Ukraine.
She was so helpful to guide us through the city for about 2 days and when we got some troubles with our place to sleep she offered us a place to sleep at her student hostel.
Though the conditions in the hostel were very (very) bad and normally she doesn't show this or host other people here we were honored to be hosted over there by the girl.
On our 3 days in Ukraine we've seen about everything, poorness at the border, a very expensive hotel, a nice hostel for a good price and then on our 3th day this really bad condition hostel...
So we had seen the rich city in Kyiv but from that day we were also aware that the conditions in the suburbs of Kyiv are very bad.
I guess this really was the CS experience I would choose as my top CS experience.

I want to improve on my French and I can teach you Dutch!
I'm also very interested in other languages, always want to try to speak in the native language of a country.
Though that often doesn't turn out very well... ^^
