About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see where the world takes meand hopefully enjoy the ride

ABOUT ME

I am born and raised in Florida, so I do not handle cold weather well. I love where I am from, and where I am now. At this point in my life I want to meet as many people as possible, and experience things I will never get the chance to experience again. I love learning about other people’s cultures, and sharing my own.

PHILOSOPHY

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, your body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "Woo hoo! What a ride!"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was very nervous when my friend told me about C.S., and even more nervous when I found out that was how I was going to travel. However, all of my experiences have been incredible. I am very excited about having many more chances to prove my initial feeling of nervousness wrong.

Interests

Exercise, movies, reading, learning new languages (poorly), and of course traveling and experiencing new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

There are way too many to mention, and if I did, everyone would think I was a nerd.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Exploring an underground WWII RAF station in a small town in the English countryside at night with no flashlight, but a cellphone and a camera flash. Swimming with sharks (although the giant sea turtles where cooler). Being in biting distance of a Komodo dragon.

Teach, Learn, Share

Before traveling in Southeast Asia prepare yourself to haggle over everything. Don’t be mean or rude about it, but have fun with it, because they do.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cambodia, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Malaysia, Netherlands, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Taiwan, United States
