CURRENT MISSION

to explore the continent of South America in order to become fluent in Spanish, capable of living out of a backpack and to learn new ways of appreciating life!

ABOUT ME

I am excited to be traveling, by plane, car, horse, on foot, and boat across, up, down and into South America.

It will be the first time I will travel with a partner the whole time, and the first time I'll be traveling for a years time! It is also, the first time I've prepared to travel beyond packing a bag. Usually I let the city, the people, the place etc. do the talking and tell me where to go and what to do.
I rather like the fly by night, seat of the pants adventure that ensues doing this!

However, I've done a fair bit of reading this time and look forward to the stability and balance it will no doubt bring my other goals for the trip!

including: writing and illustrating my trip, and learning to speak Spanish fluently!

I want to learn how the global south has come to know what it means to be Canadian, and what that knowledge translates into... I want to be able to teach people ways of sharing our essential thoughts without fear of repose or violence.
