ABOUT ME

I am a PhD candidate at the University of Utah, studying why the world in general and the Middle East in particular is the way it is. I have been in the US in the past several years but also lived in other cities in different parts of the world.
I am laid back, fun to hang out with.. very similar to the rest of CSurfers.

Interested in people, culture, literature, movies, music, intellectuals... anything that is challenging and new! I am a big fan of conversations.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy nearly all of the movies or music or books but my mood determines most of the time what I watch or listen or read. I don't read novels any longer since the reading lists at school are doing enough to make me busy! Just to give a sense of my taste, though, I just watched Delicatessen, a French movie from 1991; it is a very weird movie, very original, with a sense of good humour. Earlier in the year, I had the episode when I watched Westerns, then action movies of 70s, and then some good tv series. Music: I listen to rock music most of the time. I read couple different newspapers everyday!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Camping in a tipi was pretty amazing!
