About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Climbing my face off!

ABOUT ME

I am a semi-nomadic vagabond.

I am a strong vegetarian who enjoys eating healthy and getting lots of exercise.

I dislike staying in one place for too long, I move around as much as possible.

In 2008 I graduated college, sold almost all of my possessions and gave the money to charity. I have a bag of trad climbing gear, some clothes, and a bag. It's very liberating to have so few things.

PHILOSOPHY

Listening to what people have to say.

I have decided to rename this section my favorite quotes section....

"There's a race of men that don't fit in,
A race that can't sit still;
So they break the heart of kith and kin;
And they roam the world at will.
They range the field and they rove the flood,
And they climb the mountains crest;
Theirs is the curse of the gypsy blood,
And they don't know how to rest.
If they just went straight they might go far;
They are strong and brave and true;
But they're always tired of the things that are;
And they want the strange and new"
-Truman Capote

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have used Couchsurfing.com as both a guest and a host.

When I was in college, and forced to be sedenentary I used couchsurfing to get the feeling of travelling, and to keep me sane.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing is a great way to meet new people from around the world.

I have had only good experiences with people over couchsurfing.

Interests

Rock Climbing, Canyoneering, being outside, hiking, being a badass ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Non-Fiction history type stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a year living in East Africa, I spend most of my favorite times living in tents in various wild places.

I did a three month climbing trip in Spain, after getting injured I spent the next 6 months hitch hiking in 11 other countries around Europe.

I like to think that living life to ones personal legend is amazing!
