Hey everyone!
I'm Mikey and I'm a Singaporean. I consider myself nothing without my intuition. I often make decisions via "hunches" I get and that usually makes me look weird/illogical to people around me. Trust me, I'm not :) I'm just going on my own journey.

I'm also an idealist and I've never been one to follow society's ladder of success (it's an illusion anyways) and you'll often find me working on something that I'm passionate about instead. Right now, Im doing my best to become a wedding photographer back home. It hasn't been easy but I'm getting better.

Personally, I value the connections that I make with people. Nothing feels more right to be in-tuned with the feelings of another person when conversing about various topics of life. I like authentic people and deep intellectual conversations 24/7.

I consider traveling as both a physical and a spiritual journey. That is one of the reasons why I love traveling solo. I appreciate having the time to put down everything around me and just explore countries/cultures that are new to me. In a nutshell, I hope to travel the world someday. I believe that the experiences I have will shape my character and aid in my spiritual growth.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet people & help them with travelling in Singapore as much as i can! I am able to show you around or even invite you to my home for dinner with my family (if circumstances permit).

I believe that one of the best ways to experience a local culture would be to engage oneself into a local setting, which is what I am looking forward to sharing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Im generally open towards different genres of music! I like ballads, soft rock, blues, soul and even some jazz!

I like reading self-help books and certain novels.
My favourite books are:

* Harry Potter series (J K Rowling)
* Highly Sensitive Person (Elaine Aron)

My current favourite movie is "Coach Carter". I was really inspired by that movie to be more confident in my uniqueness as an individual. I love watching Big Bang Theory too!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was born tone-deaf and my friends constantly told me that I couldn't sing at all.
I took up vocal classes for three years when I was 18, and I'm now a professional at breaking windows.

Anything that our minds can comprehend. I'm a sucker for deep conversations about life and I hate the superficial. I may be guilty of it sometimes but hey, nobody's perfect! Wait, there's actually someone called nobody...?
