About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I don't really have the freedom to travel right now, but definitely miss coming into contact with other people on their own travel adventures. Add to that, I've always loved the idea of a "nationality" of travelers, creating their own global network.

ABOUT ME

I'm easy-going, fun-loving, relaxed, and sincere. Of course, these days it seems like I'm working all the time, which is part of why I want to be involved in Couch Surfing. As of late, I feel like I've gotten into a fairly stable pattern, but don't want to lose touch with those who are on globe-trotting adventures and shaking things up. Soon, hopefully, I will join you once again!

I'm the director of an art gallery here in Santa Fe, and it takes up a good deal of my time. But when I'm free, I write and record songs, paint, write, hike, snowboard, mountain bike, and just generally partake in the goings-on of Santa Fe. I can show any visitors a slice of the historical, aesthetic, spiritual, and/or outdoor appeal of the area. Generally, I'm a pretty good resource for local info - try me out! :-) At the very least, I'll show you where to see good art, get a good beer, and have a good meal.

Here in Santa Fe, we have a great cultural scene, a great restaurant scene, and a great outdoor life. Santa Fe is a wonderful town, but it can be a little hard to enter into. The average age is far older than what younger travelers expect for an "arts" town, and the culture here can often cater to the more "monied" classes. But that isn't to say there isn't a LOT of things to do, and all the time. There's always something interesting going on here. And when social life gets quiet, there's always the historical dimension to explore: prehistoric ruins, arts movements, scientific movements, and much else besides!

PHILOSOPHY

Whatever's clever. "Seize the day," and other inspiring, life-affirming fare.

Interests

Art, music, writing, hiking, camping, anything outdoors, mountain biking, snowboarding, dining adventures, conversation, drinking good beer and good Scotch and good wine, though not necessarily all three at once nor in that particular order. Watching sunsets too, I suppose - New Mexico is all about the sunsets!!!!
