About Me
CURRENT MISSION
See amazing art, meet interesting people, hear beautiful music, see new places and keep discovering more about myself and the world
ABOUT ME
I'm an artist, musician, traveler, nature lover and culinary enthusiast. Currently traveling around the world with my wonderful wife, Leila - we got married in Fall 2010, put our belongings into storage and hit the road. When we get back home in summer 2011 we look forward to trying to apply the many realizations we've had in our travels to our daily life.
PHILOSOPHY
You have to see the world firsthand to understand it.
Traveling is not about checklists.
Simplifying your life will make you happier.
The process is more important than the goals.
It's more important to understand all points of view than to be "right".
It's good to be polite, but it's more important to be honest.
Enjoy life and live moderately, rather than blindly adhering to strict standards.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am new to the CS Project, but I've had great exchanges with travelers, and am excited about connecting to this community. Traveling at the moment, so I can't offer a sofa, but I can offer good company, music and smiles.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
New to the CS Project, but I feel that I align with a lot of the values. For example, I pointed a fellow traveler I met in Thailand towards my family in San Francisco, and she ended with a place to stay - and having a great time! I look forward to connecting with others in a similar.

Music, Movies, and Books
As an electronic music producer, I'm a huge music geek ... I love indie rock, hip hop and and an assortment of electronic music. I've also been blow away by some of beautiful music I've heard during my travels, such as devotional singing. I'm always reading, both fiction and non-fiction. Some favorite authors: Fitzgerald, Dalrymple, Kundra, Marquez. I don't find as much time for movies, but I enjoy a good one every now and then!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One thing that stuck out in my travels of late was visiting a village in South India where most of the inhabitants had never seen or talked to a Westerner. It was overwhelming and fascinating meeting so many people - especially with the language barrier - and living like an Indian villager for a few days. I know it's something that will stay with me longer than many other places I have seen.
