ABOUT ME
I am Mark Tang!
I like doing things that I like, stuff like arting, making music, hanging out with friends, having fun and exploring in general.
I recently graduated art school in Boston, but the city started feeling a little claustrophobic. So i got rid of everything, packed a suitcase and a backpack, brought a guitar (just in case) and went on an adventure.
I wrote an article about leaving Boston
I also wrote one about my time in Nashville
I don't have a home base right now; I'm flying by on the kindness of others. It's important to me to repay kindness with kindness, pass it on and let things blossom. I love to spending time with others, as well as getting lost in my own thoughts.
The world is a fascinating place with interesting things that hide even more amazingness. I want to see, learn and do as much as I can while I'm alive.
PHILOSOPHY
Nothing could be nothing. Anything could be anything. Everything is everything.
It is what it is, unless it isn't
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I try to be a positive experience for myself and everyone else.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My home in Boston was called the Monkey Palace. Through my old roommate, Mark Schwaller, we hosted couchsurfers pretty regularly (I'm trying to reconnect with them now that I'm surfing myself).
I used to take them out places here and there (Museum of Fine Arts, Mass Ave bridge, etc), and there was a lot of hanging out in our basement.
