Overview
About Me
I used to be the kid in class who was always daydreaming, or reading books about adventures in far away places.
I worked in customer service for 9+ years, and now I design websites. Those things are not who I am, just what I’ve done. My dreams became less important because I had bills to pay, but after losing many people in my family these past few years, I realized that there is no point in waiting to start living. Life is what you make it, and I've learned that if you prioritize, you can make anything happen. I've always wanted to travel, see the world, meet new people, and finally I'm doing it! CS has been an amazing way to see the world and connect with people I would have otherwise never met.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think the best way to travel is through cultural exchange. I believe that I will get more out of each place I visit(and life in general) if I make connections and explore with people who are a part of that culture and willing to share it with me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was 13, I went across the Texas border into Mexico. I was there for a week, helping build a school for deaf children, and a house for their teacher's family. That was the trip that sparked my interest in seeing and learning about other cultures.
I learned how to mix cement there. I remember showering with frogs, chasing frogs, and chasing chickens. I remember learning what "sweetheart" is in sign language. It was amazing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Conversation, and good vibes. One of my goals in traveling is developing and discovering skills that I can share with others. I've been told I'm a very good listener.
