ABOUT ME

me? well, i guess i am "almost harmless". kinda relaxed. try to see the 'small things' and wonder how they work within the 'big world'. life is so big and fascinating. there are these rare moments when it just gets me and i am overwhelmed and realize: _we_ are the 'small things'. and sometimes i am full of anger watching us ...destroying! it seems to be so human...
i guess my most annoying question is "why?"! even i am beyond my 1st half, i still bug people with "why?". most surprising: some people are annoyed cos they have no answer.
-> no stupid questions, only stupid answers!

oh and if all that was a little too serious (sorry deep inside i am german): i do enjoy life! recently i've even heard of something they call humor.
people give me attributes like sarcastic, good listener, thinking (maybe this is how they came up with my chinese name: 葛思睿

PHILOSOPHY

there is this book saying:
giving is receiving ...or something like that.

and for sure i believe in:
no risk, no fun.

so far, the only thing i am doing, is to spread the idea of couchsurfing. it seems i am fairly successful with that. i have 'converted' some people already. :-) ...and my crusade just started. hehe

yes my life got in touch with books. here are some: douglas adams (hitchhikers guide, last chance to see, ...); kafka (mostly everything); vitus b. dröscher (biology); frank schätzing (the swarm), one of the best i have read! some more i don't remember... and no chinese stuff yet i could have got from friends.

- "super cold" water during winter camping
- 1st time alone with my paraglider 800m above ground
- freshwater jellyfish while scuba diving
- teach 18 months old kids to speak english
- this world and the human race in it

i believe i can -like everybody- give a lot ...and yet learn a lot more.
fascinating about the human race is its great weakness: we all have our individual experience. it dies with us. mankind does not learn if we dont share and listen and learn.
