About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm glad2bdad

ABOUT ME

I am the divorced Dad of 5 fantastic kids and 5 even better grandkids. My work background is in mergers and acquisitions and I have also done consulting to help business owners prepare their companies for sale in the private market. I have traveled to Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Macau, and several of the states. I want most to go to Denmark someday as we have kept those traditions alive in my family. Also, I want to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail before I die. My Mom always said, "Why want a loaf of bread when you can want the whole grocery store?" My Appalachian Trail ambitions are like that I suppose.

PHILOSOPHY

1. The oxen are slow, but the Earth is patient.

2. We are the music makers and we are the dreamers of dreams.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Pat Metheny Group (big fan)
Books: Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance and PrairyErth

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived and graduated from high school in Hong Kong where my Dad worked for Bank of America. Been in several bands. Had the lead role in my high school musical (Damn Yankees).

Teach, Learn, Share

When I was young, I thought I knew everything. I have learned a lot since I was 21 and knew it all. In any situation, it usually helps to sit quietly, listen to the still, small voice and then act. People are more important than truth.
