I grew up in many places (Germany, Russia, the US) and travelled to more, and it's still not enough. On paper I am fairly qualified in quite a few endeavors, de facto, I am somewhat of a buffoon.

PHILOSOPHY

Sometimes the only sane answer to an insane world is insanity.

Interests

Collecting things, experiences, knowledge. I read, I do some math problems, I have some hobbies: building (bikes, legos, websites), working on cars, philosophy, taking pictures, frequenting dive bars and drinking too much coffee.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once saw a Coati in a rainforest. I was very young, so I chased it. Surprisingly fast. When you jump from an airplane, it is really scary. But once the chute is pulled, you get about 50 seconds of the kind of silence most people would kill for in a conversation. In Iraq, a man explained to me how to fix shoes without using nails. In the south of France they are not kind to Americans who order "royales with cheese". I do not blame them.
