Music. Meeting people, Learning as many languages as I can, Nature, Hiking, Running, Being outdoors, Lakes, Oceans, Mountains, Birds, Books, Movies, Listening to podcasts. Photography. I've been reading a lot lately too.

Music, Movies, and Books

I generally like most books that I read. But my favorite books are those that inspire me. Jon Krakauer's Into the Wild and Patti Smith's Just Kids are two of my favorites. I usually enjoy reading non-fiction books more than fiction. There are so many incredible true stories to read before I can even think about reading fiction. And I also like reading non-fiction books that teach you something. 'Crazy Like Us: The Globalization of the American Psyche' by Ethan Watters was a great book.

I love all movies that leave me with something - a laugh, something to think about, a new way of looking at something, new music, anything. Some favorites: Once, Milk, Some Like It Hot, Mar Adentro, Big Fish, Joyeux Noel, Elf.
I'm constantly looking for new movies, especially foreign films, so if you know of any that I should be watching, let me know!

Music - There's this local Michigan guy, Matt Jones. Every time I listen to his music or get the chance to see him perform live, I'm blown away by how talented he is.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seen - I saw a bird die in Prague.

Done - I survived a summer in Florida. I can do anything.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about birds. They're really awesome! I probably have the ability to turn your backyard into a haven for birds.

I have a voracious thirst for knowledge. Teach me anything.
