About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live life with grace and purpose, to proudly help to harmonise the world in any way I can

ABOUT ME

I'm young at heart with an old soul, but i'm really enjoying this ride. I'm a passionate musician, pianist/singer/songwriter and lover of the arts.

Whilst i've had many different 'jobs' i think hospitality is my forte. I've owned and managed venues and worked in several more. I love animals of every kind. I just want to have fun, is that too much to ask?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I am just being the best Surfer I can. I also try to attend events as much as possible and spread the good word to anyone who will listen. Once I am settled in a location again i'll start participating even more.

#UPDATE#

Since moving here to Mulheim I have been organising and helping to organise a lot of events. I really like to meet as many surfers as I can, whether they are staying with me or hosts that I know. Any member with a problem or in need of something to do is more than welcome to contact me and I'll try my best to help.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CouchSurfing 28 nights out of 32 through the US was fantastic. So many wonderful memories, friends and hangovers were made :D Also my Australia Day BBQ by the Rhein was fantastic with over 60 people there at some stages and a fantastic fire. Photo's here...Too many to mention but all great memories

Music, Movies, and Books

Far too many to mention, but if you are a fellow music/film nut, drop me a line and we'll talk about it. Ad Nauseum, lol

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My favorite meditation point is on Mt Buffalo, Victoria, a place called the Monolith. It is a massive rock sitting vertically up in the air on top of a large hill at the top of the mountain. The view is spectacular, one of the best in Victoria and has a really great spiritual significance for me. Also, my last meditation session on the edge of the Grand Canyon was pretty damn amazing. I sat there for close to an hour, listened to Prokofievs Romeo and Juliet and watched birds circle on the current below my feet. Awe inspiring stuff. Ben got some great photos of it... I also really like a spot in Bermagui, a small fishing town in coastal NSW. We holidayed there a lot. You have to rock hop for about an hour to get there, but then there is a great rock I like to sit on and watch the amazing ocean. I got stranded there for 2 hours when the tide came in once though, and it did get a little scary.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am happy to share any of my knowledge of the world with anyone who wants to, if anyone does! My music knowledge is pretty good, practical, theory and general. I really love to cook and am very fond of exchanging ideas and techniques with others. I would really like to learn how to dance better! But I love the concept of CSU, lets do it!

#UPDATE#

Beginning my crash course on cooking for Americans on this current road trip! Having a lot of fun just showing some of our great hosts some tips and tricks. No dancing lessons so far, lol :(

Now cooking with/for anyone who wants to around Europe and loving it :)
