HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I really would like to host people, but now I cannot do that. I have very limited living space, so I wouldn't even be able to offer you a couch to sleep on :) But if you're having troubles finding a place to stay, I could help you. I am also available for a drink, I could show you around. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I only have experience as a surfer, not a host. I stayed at a host's apartment in Milano, Italy. It was awesome! it is so much different from staying at a hotel or hostel, because you get to walk in other person's shoes for some time.

兴趣

I would say my primary interest is people. I am interested in people in general - I enjoy observing them, talking to them, hearing about their life, sharing experience. I believe that relationships of the highest importance in our lives as nothing has that much influence on us as our friends, family or people we meet in general.

Having said that, I have to mention that I am interested in psychology. I read books and articles in my spare time and I am planning to enroll in psychology studies next year.

In addition to that, I am keen on various kinds of art, especially music (further comments are in the next section). I've become more interested in visual arts lately, so I started getting deeper into the history of painting and sculpture.

I listen to a wide variety of music. Here are some of my favourite artists: Elton John, Amy Winehouse, Kurt Elling, Carmen McRae, Etta Jones, Diana Krall, Kings of Leon, Soweto Gospel Choir, Lauryn Hill, R.E.M., Queen, Saviour Machine, Bob Marley, BassNectar, Florence and the Machine, Nouvelle Vague, Jazzanova, Norah Jones, Mika, Sting, etc.
I also like classical music (favourite composer - J.S. Bach) and Lithuanian folk music.

Speaking about movies, my favourite genre would probably be psychological thrillers, although I watch all kinds of them (except horror). Here are some movies that I really liked:

Somehow I haven't found the type of books that I like the most, so I'll just name some that has had influence on me: The Name of the Rose (Umberto Eco), The 33 Strategies of War (Robert Greene), Notre Dame de Paris (Victor Hugo), Windows of the World (Frederic Beigbeder), The Exorcist (William Peter Blatty), etc..
