ABOUT ME

My name is Davita. My astrological sign is an Aries, which is characterized by a ram, fire, and the color red. Outgoing, fun loving, and egotistical are typical adjectives associated with my sign. I learned all of this at the age of thirteen in a Love Signs book my friends and I picked up in hopes of finding our soul mates. Twenty years later, I've learned quite a few other nouns and adjectives to describe me. I am an ENTJ – Extroverted, Intuitive, Thinking, Judging (see: Myers-Briggs). I am a scanner (see: Barbara Sher). I am wack (see: my brother). Aside from all of these things, if you ask me I will tell you that I am a student, teacher, wife, daughter, skeptic, and mystic. But, at the end of the day, I'm just Davita; a dreamer.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that all people experience the same basic human emotions, functions, and concerns that I do. They all have to eat, sleep, and relieve themselves like I do. They fall in love, can be disappointed, and occasionally find things humorous like I do too. So at a very basic human level we have something in common. Does that mean that I’m going to immediately trust everyone I come across? Hell no, I’m still a New Yorker! It just means that I refuse to let fear of our differences keep me at home.

I turned thirty-three last year, so I decided to give myself a gift. I am spending the next 8 months travelling through 33 countries and I'm interested in meeting and learning about new people and the places they live.
