About Me

Heya, my name is Martin and I am currently learning how to be without a permanent home. Since last year, I'm living a nomadic life and still getting used to it.
I've been trying to make my new home in Taipei but the world is just so big and fascinating that it's hard to stay in one place.

I'm currently exploring Japan, one prefecture at a time, and I am truly enchanted by the country! So many beautiful places to see, and people to meet along with it.

Living in numerous countries and traveled quite a bit, I have tons of stories to tell. And I have my camera with me so I'll gladly snap a few pictures of you, or even better, make photos of our adventures together!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet locals while travelling around the globe. It's the best way to learn the culture, meet like-minded people and save on accommodation as a bonus, so you can spend the money together instead .
Plus, you make friends and hopefully have a chance to host people back when they visit your home - if you're planning to visit Taiwan or Czech, I'm your guy!

Interests

Music, the outdoors, traveling, meeting new people, culutral diversity, discomfort and spicy food. My current obsession is hiking and photography.
I'm the happiest when trying new things and getting out of my comfort zone. Because that's when the magic happens (:

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Took the courage to quit my job and get out of the 9 to 5 corporate torture.
About 6 months after I managed to get a fully remote job. And now I'm all over the place!

Teach, Learn, Share

All of it! Life is about both giving and receiving.

I have lots of experience with multicultural life as I had the chance to live in lots of countries. I'm an open book.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Need help painting your walls? Doing the dishes? Walking your dog? Building a space ship? Throw anything at me and I'll help!

Countries I’ve Lived In

Czech Republic, France, Germany, Ireland, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan
