CURRENT MISSION

Creating a world dish

ABOUT ME

Loving to explore the world, travel around, meet people and explore new foods. Traveling is a privilige and I want to value it as much as possible. Currently, I live in Belgrade where I work with a cultural organization/NGO facilitating international exchange between artists.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been using CS for a really long time, it gives the amazing opportunity to meet people in places you don't know yet and to get to them much fast through Couchsurfing.

Interests

I regularly attend arts events, pretty much everything from music to theater to fine arts. Often I am much more interested in the exhibition space than in the actual art and I think that they strongly influence each other.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC
Sleeping with Sirens, Foo Fighters, Dream Theater, Lacuna Coil, Bring me the Horizon, Massive Attack, Pierce the Vail, Nothing More, Tool, Elsiane, Islandman, - just to name a few.

FILMS
Five Fingers (most surprising ending I know), Forest Gump, House of Cards, Borgen, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Wild Tales, Only Lovers left alive, Boyhood, Gladiator, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Clockwork Orange, Birdman, Friendship, Oh Boy, Children of Heaven and a lot more
I usually have a hard time to remember the films that I really liked but I do remember movies that I dislike, mostly with Adam Sandler and Will Ferrell

BOOKS
I mostly read non-fiction and scientific papers so I won't bore you with that unless you ask. Furthermore I read a lot of newspapers (mostly online) like BBC News (also their podcasts), Zeit Online (German newspaper), Al Jazeera English, Le monde diplomatique

Authors I like are Hermann Hesse, Geert Mak and others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Crossed the border of the Dominican Republic to Haiti. It took me more than an hour, I spent a lot of money, I had to bribe people and I was completely fleeced which made me feel really humiliated. Now I regard it as a great experience.

Waiting in line from 5.30 in the morning in the rain to get a ticket for the museum of African American history and culture in Washington DC. Better than for an iPhone, mh?

Eating Masala Dosa. In India.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn more about global interconnections. When travelling and meeting new people from different backgrounds I usually find more similarities than differences and even if we might disagree on something in politics or society we might still like the same music or food.
