Overview
About Me
I own a small homestay in a village in North Sikkim. It has a lovely view of Kanchenjunga and there are a few hiking trails around that lead to caves, river beaches, natural pools, waterfalls and monasteries. My homestay business took a hit due to Covid-19 which was very difficult for us. However, Sikkim is opening its borders soon and am excited to open my homestay to responsible and slow travellers. I’m also opening my place to those willing to move to the mountains and work remotely (have setup a remote workspace). Due to soaring prices of vegetables and losses incurred as a result of hosting for free and now Covid-19, I do charge a certain amount. However, it’s totally worth it as my village is a perfect place to experience Sikkim. My homestay is backpacker and couch-surfer friendly.
A bit about myself : Naturally weird, usually blunt and forever curious. I'm a nature lover and a spiritual person. An avid traveler and I've been travelling all my life. I'm a hybrid as my mothers' Tibetan and fathers' from Maharashtra. I'm creative and love painting and all forms of art. I have a thing for waterfalls and dogs.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think it's an even better way to get to know a city or any place for that matter.
