About Me

CURRENT MISSION:
For 2024, I planning a week in Mt Isa for the Isa Rodeo. Dates have not been finalised but around 6th August to 12th August

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on CS to seek company and accommodation in Mt Isa and go to the Isa Rodeo. I want a local to share their accommodation for a week, learn about them and their home and life in Isa and lets enjoy each others company while I contribute in all ways that i can be of help.
In this instance (if at all possible), I would like the "Host" to be a local who attends the Mt Isa "rodeo" event to accompany me and guide me on all things "rodeo".

Interests

My interests are. writing, body board surfing, dancing, fishing, spear fishing, snorkeling, bike riding, politics, environmental issues, AFL football and cricket, reading, exchange travel stories, I love playing cards (particularly a game called five hundred), most MUSIC, golf - although not much lately, I just love HORSES, DOGS, CATS, BBQ's, WINE, MOVIES, Theatre, COOKING, and now I am into my Ancestry and wish to complete that as my legacy....by the way, I love potted plants as in growing herbs (and veggies - small scale but still a challenge) plus, plus, plus

Music, Movies, and Books

Most movies all genres - action, Sci-Fi, adventure and romantic comedy, but NO horror.
Most music - Latin American, Classical, Rock and Roll, Ballads
Books - For pure entertainment only (not learning....lol), my preference is Fiction - mainly political thrillers in the vein of Tom Clancy, Nelson De Mille, Robert B. Parker and most Historical Adventure Stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Done: nothing too spectacular..... maybe washed an elephant in Sri Lanka ? Seen: Mmmm.....thats "a different kettle of fish". But over all, I've seen beautiful places and met beautiful people from around the world. I've done enough to know how wonderful the world and its people are.... but nothing probably "amazing" to me anyway.

I'm a bit too practical, responsible (old)...lol.....I now have too much common sense.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've taught as a host and couch surfer....cooking, marketing and business skills. I've learned from couch surfers IT and computer skills and shared myself as they have shared themselves. I really can't be specific on here, but many CS listed have so much to offer as a host to visitors like me. I have learnt from other CS hosts and will teach and share what I know and have with CS whom I have the privilege to host.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share myself and whats mine, my time, my skills, my resources for expenses and most of all, my engaging company.

Countries I’ve Visited

Fiji, France, Italy, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Sri Lanka, United States, Vanuatu

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia
