About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am interested in traveling in the balkans

ABOUT ME

I am a mid 20's punk traveler. I have hitchhiked, ridden trains and driven all over the united states, never being able to keep myself in one place for very long. Right now my home base would be Tacoma, Washington where several friends have bought houses and started awesome punk houses. I love my friends because they are able to have incredibly creative and wild fun ( think: beach rodeo party with a homemade mechanical bull, two pickup truck bed loads of sand, a cranked up wood-stove plus three punk bands!) but are also into wildly fun outdoors time ( hiking, canoeing, scuba diving, mountaineering, mushroom hunting, rock climbing...) These are the type of people I love to be around. Most of my friends have traveled extensively abroad and I think its my turn now.

PHILOSOPHY

that changes all the time but I believe honesty is very important and actually trying to hear what people are saying to you

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couch surfing in general has been my MO on and off for the past 10 years staying with friends around the untied states. But I did meet a wonderful friend from the Czech Republic while hitchhiking in Alaska who had made all his contacts with this website. He is the one that turned me on to it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-I lived in a grass hut I built for a month on an island in the river outside of Austin, Texas.
-I watched a grizzly bear from across a river sniff toward the salmon smoking shack friends had built and watched it stalk up the river trying to figure out how to get close. The muscles on the back reminded me of the powerful muscles i had seen in the bodies of silver back gorillas on TV.
-I lived in two different cabins without running water or electricity in Vermont. If I was better at staying in one place that is where I would be all the time.
- Ask me when we meet, I am better at relating interesting things in the context of a conversation.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to skin animals but wish someone would non-chemically tan pelts with me since I haven't yet mastered it. I can sometimes on a rare occasion make fire with sticks ( bow drill) but would love it if someone could show me how to use a hand drill. I know a bit about edible and medicinal wild plants but that may or may not be helpful depending where in the world I am
