About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Aprender español!

ABOUT ME

I am confused about everything, but interesting in learning it anyway. I think myself of a being that is diplomatic and open-minded, and have the feeling that 'we're all in this together', no matter in what country we live or are situated. I can be a bit distrait, just walking about singing to myself, but I am also very curious and interested in other people. I'm a vegetarian, I'm fascinated about cultures and lots of things, really. My friends would perhaps characterize me as outgoing, but I would rather say that I'm naturally quite shy but trying to do something that scares me everyday of my life. I wake up early, I love dark chocolate, I think that I am intelligent and caring about what's going on in the world around us (conversations about this subject interests me a lot too!). I am nearsighted and horribly bad at rapping freestyle!

PHILOSOPHY

I don't know anything. By now, I am reading Nietzsche, still not knowing anything, having the feeling that the world is following the wrong track, not knowing how to stop it from doing so.

Currently being very interested in spiritual things, my fascination to how much there is in the world expanding outwards like on an outgoing spiral. Zeitgeist Movement, Venus Project, Spirit Science, 'Mr. Freeman', Occupy, meditation, yoga, crystals - maybe I'm just generally easily fascinated.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been surfing in Madrid, and found it very tough but very interesting as well. I learned a lot! I like to meet people, even though I think that I am quite shy, so I was participating in activities made by couch surfers as well. I have hosted one time so far.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had a really nice experience when I couch surfed in Madrid! And it was very interesting to host a couch surfer as well. I love the whole cultural experience!

Interests

I find cultural differences very interesting. I hate habits, I love adventures, I like reading and painting, writing, listening to music, singing or playing music, all these standard things that people always write if they're a certain kind of person (creative freaks). I am thinking about studying psychology, I am a vegetarian (still eating fish, though, because my parents otherwise wouldn't let me), and having lots of hippie oppinions about how the world should be (and how we should all try loving other people and the planet instead of keep on doing all these horrible things even though we know it's not working). I'm interested in psychology and how people's minds are equal or different from eachother, buddhism, as well, and spiritualism, not really knowing if it's real or not, but trying hard to find out!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This one is difficult! I was once in a buddhist temple in Thailand, when a very poor looking man came over to me, to make me eat some of his food, even though he was the one starving, not having anything at all, and I was the rich tourist from the west, just walking about taking photographs. I was 15, and it still leaves me with the feeling that we, with our materialism and moneyobsession are doing it wrong. I mean, really, wrong.

There are only two ways to live your life: to live as if everything is a miracle, or to live as if nothing is a miracle.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to make a flute of your hands and play the Harry Potter theme!
