I'm new to Couchsurfing but excited! I love meeting new people and exploring new cultures. I enjoy martial arts and love to train at different dojos when I travel. I am female, 50, an empty nester, working from home with Petrochoice; ExxonMobil's largest distributor. I arrange logistics nationwide.

I find myself at a rare crossroads where I see all green lights to live whatever life I choose. I am single, my son is in college, and I am free to pursue adventure!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To grow as an individual, to experience different places and perspectives than my own. I recently bought a summer GO PASS with Frontier Airlines. I intend to put it to use. My hope is Couchsurfing will introduce me to new people, as well as new places.

My bucket list includes training in Dojos across the nation and abroad. I enjoy all martial arts and have trained in the arts of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Hapkido. Many of these trips will be for that purpose.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have an eclectic taste when it comes to music.....I prefer 'feel-good' music in any genre.

I believe my favorite food I have not tried yet.....but I love tacos and make a great Pumpkin Cheesecake.

My favorite movie depends on my mood.....how can you choose with so many greats? My favorite movie scene is the locker room speech by Al Pacino in "Any Given Sunday".

Always teach, learn, and share!!!

I led the children's MMA program in our martial arts school prior to the pandemic. I still instruct privately with the Verete Foundation.

I am developing an app that will notify martial arts, students of upcoming learning opportunities while providing master instructors with a platform to communicate upcoming seminars. I also am working on a not-for-profit scholarship fund for kids who want to learn martial arts but cannot afford to.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Laughter, good conversation, and gracious company. I will also be happy to help with whatever tasks are needed during my stay.
