About Me
CURRENT MISSION
start surfing again! figuratively and literally.
ABOUT ME
I love the life in randomness that travelling gives you... the people you meet on the way, the sights, the smells, the food and the rice wine. It opens up your mind and your heart and, no matter how long I leave it between travels, the bug still keeps biting.
PHILOSOPHY
Always get a room with a view.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My participation is minimal really but I love the idea of this global network of travelers who can all get to know and befriend each other, share what they have together and lend a hand. My friends and I have met some amazing people through this site, and had some very good times and been inspired to travel further longer and deeper - long may it continue!

Interests
New people, new places, new books and films and art, music in all its many forms, learning languages and practising ones I know already. Doing nothing and cultivating the art of indolence with a book and beer in hand. Riding my bike with friends, and spending time outdoors. And food and cooking. I make a MEAN chilli and curry!

Music, Movies, and Books
Lots and lots of music and even more books... I love most kinds of music but particular and perennial favourites are LCD Soundsystem, Beastie Boys, Caribou, Trojan records, Bob Dylan, Ella Fitzgerald, The National, M83, Portishead, New Order, Kings of Convenience... A very mixed bag.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seeing Everest in Tibet was pretty special, and so was the Great Wall, I loved Vietnam too, especially Hanoi. It is amazing that I got out alive after a couple of near misses on motorbikes: The only place I would recommend closing your eyes when crossing the road.
Teach, Learn, Share
Sharing travel knowledge, languages, cooking skills, gardening, painting ,sewing, fixing, kareoke, plumbing... everything, everyone, is welcome.
