i'm originally from pittsburgh, but living in brooklyn where i teach at a dual-language spanish/english school. this fall i'll be our first librarian!

i'm veganish, but a strict vegetarian. i recently moved to an apt with a garden so i'm excited to be growing some of my own food. i lurve to cook.

i've traveled to a lot of the world but always crave seeing more. extended stays include cuba, peru, spain, and ghana, but i've backpacked much of central america and western europe.

PHILOSOPHY

be kind. be generous. read daily.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

this summer i'll be crossing scandinavia and looking for places to stay with friendly folks who can point me to cool local adventures and vegetarian friendly meals. i'm especially interested in outdoor adventures involving bikes, boats, and old buildings. parks and live music are always a plus.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i'm totally new here! i do have friends that do it in new york though, and they all had good experiences.

Teach, Learn, Share

i am really good at biking between cars and reading in motor vehicles, but i don't think these are teachable skills!

i can teach spanish or english, basic sewing and knitting, origami, how to change a flat on your bike, and how to make a meal out of almost anything.
