About Me

Live. Enjoy. Travel. Learn.

I'm a really outgoing person. I love to meet new people, travel (a LOT) and get to do new things every day. I'm full of energy (sometimes a little too much, maybe), and I will always have a smile on my face. I try to live life to its fullest, and try to make the best out of every moment I have.

I believe you should live every moment as if it were your last. You never know when you will no longer have the chances life gives you at a certain time and place, and you could regret not taking advantage of it (and not taking some chances, too).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My first CouchSurfing experiences were during the summer of 2012. I did a tour around Europe with my sister and we were hosted by amazing people, who showed us around and made our time in each of the cities absolutely amazing! After this, I came to realise CouchSurfing is an amazing way of travelling and becoming a world citizen. The experiences CouchSurfing offers are difficult to find elsewhere and the opportunities are infinite. CS has shown me what it is that I like about travelling and getting in touch with other cultures and histories: there are good, interesting, nice people EVERYWHERE, who can show you things you never imagined and who can open your eyes and change the way you live your life after just a few days.

Interests

I'm passionate about foreign languages and cultures, and I would love to travel the world just learning as much as I can. I love sports (watching them as well as practising a few), music (almost any type is good for me, though I really enjoy electronic) and my guiltiest pleasure is spending my time reading a good book.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can't have enough of Tim Burton's films. He's a genius.
Electronic music always makes my day, but I've come to realise I enjoy almost any genre.
Oh, books. Where to begin? I enjoy everything from a good history of architecture book, to long (looooong) novels and fiction stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hot air balloon in Cappadocia! You always see pictures and think how amazing it is, but when you are there and can fully appreciate the beauty of it all, you can actually say that no photo can do justice to this place.
Meeting an elephant in one of the various rescue centres in Chiang Mai, Thailand. AMAZING creatures! Something I never even dreamed of doing, and was one of the best things I've ever done.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think am pretty good with languages, and I enjoy practising them, as well as helping someone that is learning any of the ones I know.
I am always interested in learning new things about new people and cultures. I will ALWAYS have questions. I am very curious.
I also like spreading a good word about Colombia, its people and its culture. We are very negatively portrayed around the world, and changing one mind at a time is totally worth it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I enjoy sharing my experiences and my knowledge. It is always very nice to have time to share with hosts: be it cooking together, sharing a meal, doing a little tourism or simply going out to spend some time together. I can always share a smile and a good laugh, I am able to cook a couple of things and I am always eager to talk about anything. A lot of people are curious about my country, its history and culture, and I absolutely enjoy answering all their questions and showing them how it is like here. For me it is all about learning from other people and letting others learn from you.
