About Me
CURRENT MISSION: Doing the things that make me happy and allowing myself to be happy without following expectations and obligations of others.
ABOUT ME:
Hi, I'm Miyuki (me-you-key), a 21 year old goof ball living, working, and studying in D.C.! I just finished my erasmus in London this past semester and I am currently working on finishing my degree in International Affairs at George Washington University.
I always get the question, "where are you from?" And for me, it's quite a hard question to answer. Although I basically grew up in the states, I was actually born in Oslo, Norway. And in between the states and Norway, my family lived in Japan, Sweden, and the UK. But, my parents made sure I was raised in a traditional Japanese home, even if we were miles and miles away. And because of all this constant moving around, I fell in love with traveling, fell in love with the spontaneous things in life, fell in love with everything that this world can offer...
This is why I love meeting new people, learning more about how they think and I love sharing stories over a few beers. There are 7 billion people living in this world - And, you are never going to meet most of them - then why not increase our chances to meet the cool ones!
ABOUT MY COUCH:
I am currently living with two of my best guy friends, Stefan and Alex. When I'm hosting you, they're basically hosting you as well! Although I'll be showing you around, they'll want to hang out and get to know you too!
We can offer you two comfy couches in our living room, my private bathroom, and the kitchen. You are more than free to smoke outside on our balcony but not inside. And, I hope you enjoy your stay with us!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN CS?
CS is about people, not about the cities. I'm here to meet new people, discover new things about myself and others. Plus, it feels good to be good.
But, due to the increasing volume of couch requests I've been receiving every day, just tell me about yourself - why you're couchsurfing? why not a hostel? why me? what does a "good host" mean to you? what do you expect out of couchsurfing?
You don't have to answer all of these, but I want to know more about you as a living, breathing person, rather than words from a computer screen!
