About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To burn it down.
ABOUT ME
I'm Aquarian to the core. I'm a big fan of afternoon naps and irregular schedules. I have a dog named Oliver whose lack of interest in anything is pretty endearing. I surprised myself when I shed a tear watching Obama give his acceptance speech. I find live music to be one of my greatest joys in life. I think androgyny is really beautiful.
PHILOSOPHY
As bad as things are, they can always be worse!
"If only every kiss could taste like curry chicken kebab, I would be a whore." Brian Faas
". . .try to free a slave of ignorance,
try and teach a whore about romance. . ."
The Replacements- "Answering Machine"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Being open to trusting that it can work; maintaining a belief that people are generally good.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I remember being told I was wasting my time when I chose to study French in high school, rather than Spanish. When I was couch surfing in Brooklyn for some time, I was in the same house as French speakers from Belgium, Montreal and Paris. It was then I realized, the traditional framework of what's beneficial and what's a waste is all relative and there's no guaranteed road to success that starts with A and goes directly to B.
Interests
People with sordid pasts. Jameson neat. Sauces. Portraiture. Snobbery. Sport eating. C-grade celebrity name dropping and associations. Longing. Karaoke.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived my life exactly as I've wanted to, despite breaking the mold of my fairly traditionally Midwestern family, and taking unconventional routes all along the way.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could talk about movies and music all day. I'm always looking to know about more. Also, I'm willing to share my experiences living as a transient and want to learn as much as I can about the social dynamics of the place you call home.
