About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm experiencing life in the fullest. That means traveling around the world whenever the urge strikes. When I'm home, I'm always up for company.

ABOUT ME

Hi! I think I'm a fun person. I'm open to new experiences. I love learning. As an author, I'm teaching myself new stuff all the time or learn from other people who already know. My passions are God, writing, traveling, and cooking. Oh, and my kids. I'm the divorced Mom of two...my son lives with his dad, my daughter lives with me. And the ex and I are still great friends.

I love life, and experiencing it exactly as God meant for us to!

PHILOSOPHY

God gave us life. Live it to the fullest to honor His gift.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't been hosted yet. Responsibilities keep me close to home more often than I like. But I have hosted a few people and I love making new friends. I have a couch, and you're welcome to it if I'm here.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My favorite so far was hosting a couple from Greece. Lovely people. And how cool that they come to the US about once a year to write a book.

I've also met other people who stayed over night or came through whatever town I happened to be in at the time. I can't wait for my opportunity to meet more people as I travel for a while.

Interests

God, cooking, reading, writing, travel, beading and just about any other kind of art, meeting people, and the beach (or more truthfully the sea shore) will always hold my heart, no matter where it's at.

Music, Movies, and Books

Anyone who write mystery of almost any kind. I'm currently reading romantic suspense, and non-fiction. I read non-fiction all the time because of what I do for a living. Learning is essential. Who needs college when you can read?

For music, I love contemporary Christian. I'm more into harder rock and very upbeat pop. But I have occasions when I want classical, country, or just plain grunge metal. When I'm in the right mood, even gothic alternative is welcome. I guess you could say I'm eclectic.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm still so very impressed by being able to see the activities that happened in the whaling industry before it was ended. It's amazing to watch a whale being brought in and dispersed for the various things they were used for. It happens so quickly for such a large undertaking.

I've also been the (very grateful) taste tester of some great food. Growing up in the military, I had the opportunity to taste all different kinds of cuisine. Yummy!!

So many more experiences...so little space. Wanna share stories?

Teach, Learn, Share

Cooking. I can cook! And I love to teach others, but I also love to learn more about cooking. Got a recipe that you think is to die for? Share it. Or do you need to know how to make the world's best cheesecake? Ask me, I'm happy to share my recipes.

I also teach a lot of technology courses online. And I teach new writers how to get published and make a career out of writing. I've been doing it for about 15 years, and along the way have helped a dozen or so people create a career of their own. I just love to share knowledge.
