About Me

I work as Photographer and Photo editor in "Russian Reporter" magazine (federal media based in Moscow). At the same time I continue my career as documentary photographer, take part and organise photo exhibitions in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg.
Here is one of my last publications, a reportage on a Rehab center for blind people: http://expert.ru/russian_reporter/2018/03/slepoj-rok/
Though it is in russian you can still understand my photos.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't want earth to become a marketplace. The best things in life such as love, friends, fresh air are free.
Couchsurfing is the best way to see the world.
I don't like when lack of money ruins my plan to travel. All borders should be opened.

I couchsurfed once in Lithuania. And later in La Rochelle and Bordeaux.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music. Hmm... April Stevens, falk, jazz to feel good and a bit of Shostakovich to experience tragedy.
Literature. Chekhov, Kortasar, Faulkner, Márquez, Salinger, Erich Fromm.
Cinema. Bergman, Tarkovsky, Jean-Luc Godard, Claude Lelouch, Wim Wenders.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I've walked through The Protestant cemetry of Rome named Testaccio. Between sad statues I saw overripe oranges that have fallen of a tree. Orange oranges on grey graves. It was the most beautiful scenery I've ever experienced.

One winter I have visited Kamchatka. It is the edge of the world! The the most estern point of Eurasia continent. Extremly beautiful place full of working volcanos and warm termal lakes. Check the coordinates in Google maps to feel how far it is: 52.895661, 158.706348

What I Can Share with Hosts
