ABOUT ME

44, English & History Teacher..2008 saw me travel to Athens , Turkey, London and the Western Front first trip since Egypt in 2000. Have lived and worked in Japan.. 2010 was in the USA & 2 weeks in Mexico.2011 I returned to the US to see frinds and a 2 week tour of the Southern States
I have been teaching since 1991, I joined CS in 2007 prior to my trip.Thanks to the CS world I have developed several close friends and associates Adri, Sissi, Carlie,Jimmy Achilles and others .Grew up in a very small country town , and left in 1987 to attend University and haven't lived there since. I have a variety of interests from watching sport -The Rugby League ..play tennis and six a side soccer..My trips combine Historical and cultural aspects..but Im not a pseudo snob academic..Let me loose in the bars and pubs of the world for enjoyment and meeting the locals..
I have flatmates and host Student teachers from Michigan State University USA every year, so know all about cooperation , consideration, personal space and adaptability.Learning not to sweat about the small things..

After joining CS, I hoped to expand my involvement as time progressed,HOWEVER as a teacher .. Work takes over from what I would like to do so my hosting tends to be in NSW school holidays, but most predominantly Christmas/New Year &January so on that note yes I have a couch for Sydney NYE :)

Watching the League, Rugby ,AFL and cricket.
Playing tennis, attending sporting events, the theatre. Volunteering for the annual Sydney Festival..[anyone in Sydney in January attend any of the varied events] Crime fiction , DR WHO & Torchwood on TV.Plan to visit Cardiff Wales on this trip...fans know why:) The Sydney Morning Herald, Cooking and experimenting in the kitchen

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The memories of previous travel..Kamakura in Japan, and the dressed small buddhas as a memory to deceased children, sunrise on Mt Sinai the 14 hour bus trip to Hurghada Egypt
The Western Front and Gallipoli- Lest we Forget
Tulips in Turkey, as well as the call to prayer as I crossed from The Grand Bazzar towards a MacDonalds..Juxtaposition! ..My handbag progressing to Hammersmith as I alighted at Earls Court !!! Yes it was retrieved. Catching up with three wonderful friends in the USA

Teach about Australia and it's history both good and bad. If people want to learn / Improve English language. Learn to cook authentic International cuisines. Sharing my Beautiful country with visitors and learning about my guest or hosts country and their views.
