About Me
Update (1/4/2016): A lot happened in 2016! I got a job as a software engineer at Amazon, got engaged to Robertson Taylor (profile: https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/robertsontaylor), and we have a super cute baby now (http://imgur.com/vKcd5it).
We are traveling in the Middle East for the remainder of my maternity leave, so from January 9th to the 21st. Message me if you want to meet up to talk about programming, working at Amazon, studying in the US, living in San Francisco or Atlanta or Seattle, or just want to hold a baby :)
Update (1/15/2015): I've moved to Seattle!
Update (4/25/2014): I'm living in Midtown again, right next to Georgia Tech. I have a comfy spare room and would love to host surfers =]
Update (2/2013): I live/work in Sandy Springs (a suburb of Atlanta.) I have a nice big house with another CSer with lots of spare rooms. I can totally start hosting people again!
Update (7/2012): I am moving to Bolzano, Italy to do an exchange year at the Free University of Bolzano. Hopefully I will be able to find a flat where I can host (haven't had one of those for a while)! Anyway, I'd love to meet up with other South Tyrolean CSers and practice languages or explore the area.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to meet people from different cultures, practice languages, cook food together, and just plain hang out! I think it is a much more enriching experience to travel and actually meet local people. It has opened my mind in so many ways.

Music, Movies, and Books
On a bit of a kick right now with mid-20th century dystopian novels, 'We' by Yevgeny Zamyatin, '1984', 'Brave New Word', 'The Dispossessed', etc.
I like sci-fi in general, 'Dune' and 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' are some of my favorites.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hitchhiking in Baja Sur! I cannot believe that such nice people exist as the ones that picked me up =)
Crossed Canada by hitchhiking! (almost never got out of "Longtario" though)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'll definitely cook for you if you host me! haha
Cooking (Italian, American)
Math!
What I Can Share with Hosts
* Baby cuddles
* Good conversation
* String tricks (just kidding)
* Advice about living/studying in the US. I've lived and worked in four different states on both coasts (and in the middle) so I have a broad perspective.
