ABOUT ME

We are two excited travelers with similar names : Marie & Marine
Mary is older and obviously more calm and mature but also very creative and versatile, and there is me talkative, annoying and curious at the same time!!
We barely have enough time in our lives to go farer than the corner street but when we do, we try to discover new destinations and take chances. Couchsurf is completely new in our lives for the moment but I hope I'll soon erase that sentence from my profile.

What we like the most is walking trough Paris, watching around and look for details and surprises that we haven't seen yet. We also like to see how artists can use the streets and the city as a place to live and express themselves : Walls, lights, pavements, sidewalks... there's always a sticker hidden somewhere looking for an eye to be noticed... FOr us travelling is the best way to meet with new people, to share their space (home & cities), their knowledges, their passions and their lives and the best is when they introduce us with those special places (they have) that can't be known otherwise.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have a good experience of couchsurfers' listeners only as many friends of our told us how great and fun it was but that's it.
We're really looking forward to meet some of you during our trip around Florida leaving in less than ten days (28 JAN - 8 FEB). We would like to hit the road a little and stop by Key West, Naples, St Petes, Miami, ... and if you have suggestions please send them!!
As we don't really have room in our studio to host anyone and the couch is already taken by the 2 of us but we'd love to share a coffee and take you to a walk around Paris or to go to cool places to listen to some good electro music.

Interessen

photography, Street art & modern art, galleries, cool bookstore, painted walls, any types of artistic experience like the crazy exhibition "LIfe is beautiful" in Los Angeles in 2008, but also electro music, rock, pop and Hip Hop too.
We like urban concrete but we love nature aswell.
Everything related to recycling, ecology, secondhand trade and flea markets...

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Mary loves : art, graphism and design books. She also likes sketch books and traveling guides.
Marine loves : detective novels especially those from scandinavian countries because the philosophy is different and complicated. I like to read from Fred Vargas, Thierry Jonquet, Stieg Larsen, Camilla Lackberg,... + mangas & recipes - ok recipes aren't literature but it's still a nice and pleasant reading so it belongs here :)

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Marie : she once tried to walk on a wall - broke her arm :)

Marine : she might tell you the craziest thing she's done if you ask nicely. It's a crazy story that happened last year - fresh story !
