About Me

NOT HOSTING DURING COVID-19 CRISIS.

I live in SE Portland in a cool area within walking distance of Division, Hawthorne, Belmont, and Morrison/28th.

I don't play the drums! I just make noise on them at a friends house, but hey that picture looks cool! :)

NOT HOSTING US-based travelers at all.

If you are from anyplace else in the world and passing through Portland and need a place to stay, drop me a line and tell me about yourself and your travels and all that stuff and I might let you use my spare room.

I DO NOT TAKE LAST MINUTE REQUESTS EVER.

I have hosted a ton of people from around the world and been hosted in Europe many times - and had a blast doing it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel a lot and want to make the most of every trip and love to show people around. I have couch surfed in Europe and made great friends, and hosted people from all over the world in my home and am still friends with all of them.

I have mainly Couch Surfed in Germany and the Netherlands and have always had a wonderful time and really learned a lot. I hosted a lot of cool surfers and really enjoyed each visit.

Interests

Cocktails, wine, beer, fancy cheese, live music, and home-made food with friends.

books... lots of books - history and literature.

....and live music concerts at small bars and concert halls.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to music I enjoy a lot of different stuff: Examples include Madder Mortem, Frank Zappa, John Abercrombie, Miles Davis, Die Apokalyptischen Reiter, Bevis Frond, Seeed, Elf Power, Laibach, Dresden Dolls, and Mahavishnu Orchestra.

Live music is also very much a part of what I enjoy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking and riding bike trails in the Zillertal Valley, AT. This was a wonderful place and I think it is often missed as people pass between Munich and Innsbruck or Innsbruck and Vienna. Hop off at Jenbach and check it out. Also don't miss the Museum Tiroler Bauernhöfe in Kramsach.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like open minded fun and respectful people who see travel as a way to build understanding.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Be kind. Always be cool like Elvis.
