Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This community is like no other. Strangers have shared their homes with me without question and saved me with last minute accommodation where I would have otherwise spent the night at Toronto bus stops.

It's inspired me to share my home with the same amount of openness. As you can probably tell, my home is not available for stay - instead I've have opened my house for refugee accommodation and have been sharing my home for the past few months. However, the way I give back to this community is with my time and travel advice so if you'd like to meet up I'm always happy to show you around.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Was once on assignment to collect educational data from the island of Borneo, where I stayed in 9 different villages - most of them floating. I've motorcycled through the jungle with local inner-city teachers who helped me map the region, crossed alligator infested waters and almost caught malaria, where an old lady took me into her home and made sure I was okay. One of the most life-changing trips of my life.
