Overview
About Me
Hi! I'm a Sydney-sider for most of my life. I've lived abroad in Swansea for half a year and traveled across Western Europe for 2-3 months which was absolutely amazing!
I've lived in Japan for 3 months on a work secondment, travelled across all over Japan from snorkelling in crystal clear waters to hiking active volcanoes, ate amazing food and speed learning how to speak and read Japanese!
Looking for new adventures, learning about different cultures and trying new experiences whilst at home!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Attending events, meeting up with people whilst travelling! Can't host people at the moment with my current situation.
Interests
I love (really really) food and cooking, salsa, beaches, exploring, sailing/windsurfing, bikram yoga, being spontaneous, kayaking, living life and taking in new experiences! My travel style is a bit hectic which means I usually don't have a plan until I get to the city, I feel like its the best way to explore and be flexible.
I've learnt a bit of Spanish and German in the past but want to do Spanish properly with the goal of travelling to South America at the end of 2017! I like pop/top40 & acoustic & varying EDM, anything with a nice melody really!
Music, Movies, and Books
Maroon 5, Calvin Harris, Ellie Goulding, Beyonce, Avicii, One Republic and more! I love listing to live music as well, especially to some salsa :D
A recent read was Khaled Hosseini's A Thousand Splendid Suns which was a sad but great story.
Favourite TV shows - Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Orphan Black, House of Cards & Modern Family is great too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Visiting Cinque Terre on the Italian coast - absolutely amazing and stunning and then cutting across to France.
Did a patisserie run through Paris - covered about 7 patisseries in 2.5 days (maybe 2 desserts at each shop)! Couldn't eat any sweets for a while after!
Hiked up an active volcano in Central Japan, one of the hardest things I've ever done and I said I wouldn't do it again. And then I climbed Mt Rinjani in Lombok the year after. Both times made it almost to the top and missed - snow fall and sun rise timing, third time's a charm?
Chilling in a straw hut and watching the sunset on Gili T, Indonesia.
Hiking to snow caves in Zabljak, Montenegro and then seeing the second deepest canyon in the world on my last day there; getting lost via bike for 3+hrs or so, missing my connecting bus to Sarajevo, scared the hostel owners who thought I'd gotten into an accident and almost starved to death before a fellow traveller saved me with some cranberries and pizza!

I can teach you a bit of salsa dancing if you'd like! :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
