Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The best couch-surfing experience I ever had was definitely not on a couch! I was hiking alone in southern Turkey and at the end of a long, hot day I was preparing to pitch my tent in a valley when a goatherd invited me to join his family for dinner and to sleep in their tents. I played with the charming kids and enjoyed an excellent dinner, though my Turkish definitely still needs some work!
