ABOUT ME

I am studying mechanical engineering at Cal Poly SLO in California, USA. I love the sun, the ocean, and absolutely everything done outdoors! The central coast has been my home for the past four years and has been an amazing place to surf, climb, and ride. I got the travel bug young and have been to some amazing places. I hope to keep exploring!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I made a couchsurfing profile in 2010 to stay in touch with the friends I met traveling in Australia and New Zealand. I hope to gain a little 'surfing karma by hosting some wonderful people visiting SLO.

I haven't stayed or hosted yet, but I'm stoaked to get involved!

兴趣

One of my primary engineering interests is biomedical devices. I have spent some summers working for a big bmed company, and am currently redesigning a low cost prosthetic foot for use in developing countries. I like the idea that what I put energy into is improving someone's quality of life.

Music is the medice of the mind.

I play the drums, and was in a few bands in highschool. Since coming to school, its been mostly jamming, but still get a big kick out of playing music. Favorite genre's are reggae, rock, punk! but I can get down to almost anything.

Favorite Authors: Charles Dickens, Jack Kerouac, Tom Robbins.. too many to list! Currently reading Pirsig's "Zen + Motorcycle Maintenance," definitely an adventure into morality.

Favorite Directors: Coen Brothers, Tarantino, Wes Anderson
